AIC OT-X : IoT Connectivity and Container Hub for AIoT Development and Deployment

AIC OT-X is a powerful new embedded IoT OS that can be run on x86 platforms as an OT and IoT integrated gateway, It offers intuitive development of software-defined edge computers. Leveraging a modern container-based architecture, AIC OT-X optimizes size, performance, and usability.

Bridging the gap between OT, IT, and IoT, AIC OT-X converges applications and microservices on edge devices. Industrial computers can be effortlessly transformed into software components. The OS enables intuitive deployment of Docker images from cloud to edge, with seamless extension of microservices for OT and AI applications.

AIC OT-X Microservices System accelerates AloT digital transformation by providing an AI &IoT cloud connection development platform. This fosters a co-created, shared AI microservices ecosystem that fully addresses diverse AI solution development needs.

System architecture

Pre-installed and configured embedded IoT OS

Programmers benefit from streamlined access to field assets through in-house design utilities and APIs with OT protocols then forward to cloud and IoT SaaS, enhancing the efficiency of software development and integration.

  • The preloaded AIC OpcUa Extender serves as a robust Information Data Center, supporting up to 6000 client connections with low latency, and facilitating easy access to PLC/HMI tags via Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP devices.
  • With the AIC IoT Studio, developers can effortlessly build gateways that support IoT protocols (MQTT, IoT Agents) and OT protocols (Modbus, SIEMENS, Mitsubishi). This suite simplifies application development through intuitive flows, enabling rapid prototyping and deployment via simple click-and-drag functionality.

Container, data source and Grafana in One

AIC OT-X establishes connections with hybrid data source like SQL database, Json , restful API, OT protocols and more. It functions as a lightweight framework for container management. This enables real-time, distributed processing, improved responsiveness and efficient resource utilization in edge microservices.

AIC OT-X establishes connections with databases such as Microsoft SQL and MySQL. Additionally, it serves as the interface for the data visualization tool, Grafana Presentation.

Security with standards

Prioritizing computer security, AIC OT-X aligns with CIS benchmarks, providing essential security recommendations against cyber threats.

Software building block

AIC OT-X is based on the latest Ubuntu 22.04, which can turn your IPC into an Industry 4.0 gateway or edge server. It provides an easy-to-use web interface for configuration and predefined configurations. Preloaded AIC IoT Studio is the latest process management tool for operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) integration.

Our processes support equipment operational inspection, monitoring and automation to ensure smooth equipment operation. The pre-loaded AIC OpcUa Extender supports up to 6000 nodes(*) to support standard and customized information models with low latency throughput.

Industrial protocols enable direct access to PLC/HMI tags via Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP drivers or import of nodes/tags from *.csv files. All timestamp historical data can be stored in MS SQL/My SQL for further AI/BI analysis. AIC OT-X not only includes IPC hardware and software system information, but also features our in-house developed powerful IoT Studio and OpcUa Extender. In addition, we have also integrated well-known external applications such as Eclipse Mosquitto, Grafana, MS SQL, MySQL, Portainer, etc.
